Whilst visiting Scotland recently I had the pleasure of spending a 50minute train journey from Glasgow to Edinburgh with Ellinor Forsberg a (very!) recent Graduate of the Glasgow School of Art BFA(Hons) specialising in Photography. We spent one the fastest journeys I’ve ever had on that trip talking about all things art and photography from developing practice, to the state of education, (and I couldn’t help but send her off the train with a list of artists and galleries to look up!)
Ellinor was an incredibly lovely and articulate person and was quite literally on her way back to Sweden, her home country.
I looked up her website when I got back to the internet and I urge you to do the same; it’s a very impressive collection of projects from her practice, not least for its content but for the way it frames her work into individual sets yet draws lines across these bodies of work that shows her developing practice. Her graduate exhibition ‘Peachland’ is well documented and is an inspiring example of a final year exhibition.
I for one, am looking forward to seeing what Ellinor does next…so Watch This Space!
